#20 CHRISTMAS EVE, 1943 BY TOM MCRAE & THE STANDING BAND

It is time for another Christmas song. Another Christmas song with a bit of a difference. Another Christmas song a little on the somewhat darker, depressing side of the spectrum. Hey, this is Tom McRae but you know what, I’ve been a huge fan of this man since seeing him live for the first time in 2003 and I practically relish wallowing in the gloom and doom when the music and lyrics are so good. A step back in time for a Christmas during the war. A little ironic perhaps that the last Christmas song was Pictures of Adolf Again by Jinder. I also watched the new film by John Pilger at the weekend. Thus, the music fits very well.

This song is taken from Tom’s most recent album with The Standing Band called Did I Sleep And Miss the Border. Check details of this and ALL things Mr McRae at >>https://tommcrae.com/<<
