bdays 2016.jpgBack to the archives from 2014 to bring one of the final three older podcasts to the blog. This show marked the first of two specials featuring musicians and bands I’d seen live at the Beautiful Days festivals I’d already been to as well as a couple I was earmarking to see at 2014’s. Naturally there was so much music to consider for the playlist that the initial one part show sprouted another whole show – and these were two hour shows too. As always, I know 2 hours can be a while if you have schedules and the like but the beauty is you can come back to where you get to as and when you can.

Beautiful Days festival is unlike any other. The shared sense of community spirit pervades through EVERYTHING! It is like going home for a long relaxing, if tiring & often messy weekend. Love it!

As mentioned above, for the playlist I gathered together songs from bands & musicians I’ve seen at the ones I’ve been to: The Wailers, Newton Faulkner, James & Stornoway in 2010, Sean Taylor, Oysterband, Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman & The Low Anthem in 2011 to Luke Jackson, Dave McPherson, Moulettes & Ocean Colour Scene in 2013. 2012 I deserve a slap for, as I couldn’t make it! That won’t be happening again I assure you. Not even the end of the world will interfere with my annual return to Escot Park.

There are also songs from bands/musicians who have been there but I’d not been able to catch, like Seth Lakeman & Bellowhead. I certainly made amends and saw both that very year (2014). Add to this a kickass 9 top songs from festival founders The Levellers including a 1/2 hour continuous mix of 7 tracks. Enjoy and grab you tickets for this year at http://www.beautifuldays.org/
